Video Game Music Con - PR
The first convention held in Puerto Rico entirely focused around music for video games. This 2-day event featured composer Tom Salta (PUBG, Deathloop) talking about his craft, as well as multiple local organizations from the island's video game industry.
Brought and produced by Trivium Studios, this event featured composer Tom Salta (Deathloop, PUBG) talking about his craft and experience. It also featured multiple local organizations from the island’s video game industry, like PRGDA (Puerto Rico Game Developer’s Association) and LED Dev Studios.
Participants also had the chance to participate in the event’s Demo Derby, in which their music would be played and Tom Salta would provide feedback and thoughts.
At the end of each day, we finished with beautiful perfomances by local musicians, playing different arrangements of popular video game soundtracks, as well as some original and local pieces.
I had the pleasure of making this arrangement of “Nascense” by Austin Wintory, from the game Journey.
Interpreted by Young Artists Concert Orcherstra. Conducted by Rocío del Mar.
